Also known as “dragon’s well” it has a subtle, chestnut flavor and probably the most renowned green tea in the world. Its mellow, slightly sweet taste makes it very enjoyable, even for the green tea novice. The leaves are dried in a hot wok. Skillful hands press the leaves against the side of the wok and turn them repeatedly until they obtain their characteristically flat shape. It is entirely handmade from the chinese zehjiang province, and has a fresh aroma and beautiful jade-green color. Enjoy this vitamin C-rich tea throughout the day or as an evening revitalizer.

Recommendations: use 1 heaping tsp. per 6oz cup; heat fresh, cold water until slow steam rises (160 F); let steep for 2 min.
