About 3000 BC
3000bc was founded in 1992 by Korin Korman as a result of her MBA thesis at the Wharton Business School. During her research she discovered that Egyptians had fully developed a method of beautifying, cleansing, and revitalizing the people in their care through the use of essential botanical oils in and around the year 3000 B.C.
The richness of this ancient culture is the inspiration for 3000bc spa and product line. The energy, power and purity of the essential botanical oils is the heart of the concept; the ancient healing practices motivates our nurturing mission. It’s jewelry, created from precious minerals is the basis of our color palate, and it’s bold architecture inspires our design.
The images displayed on this page show the chestnut hill flagship facility that was closed in 2005 when we relocated to our new chestnut hill location.
In 1993, 3000bc spa began to provide services as a testing ground for its name sake, pure botanical line of spa products. The flagship spa established a cult following that thrived on the rejuvenating massages, facials and body treatments. Consistently striving to maintain excellence, the spa offered new and innovative services while honoring the lush traditions of the past. Today 3000bc has grown to two locations and offers cutting edge skin care services, provided by highly trained estheticians. Our dedication to complete wellness is exemplified in our massage and body treatments that still contain the ancient art of aromatherapy.
