20 years ago this past Sunday, my brand and now full-time love, 3000BC, was launched. Picking up my Citrus Gel Cleanser this morning, tears filled my eyes as I looked at the label for 3000BC Skincare wrapped around its’ signature cobalt blue bottle. After all that has come to be, I feel like the luckiest- and at times most exhausted!- woman on earth.
To be frank, though, i didn’t start with some great belief in myself. A belief in great skincare got me started, the support and encouragement of friendships and family kept me going, and the successes of other women inspired me to reach beyond my wildest dreams!
I would not be celebrating 20 years of business, growth, and achievements today without all three of these very important and life- altering elements in place.
And then, almost 2 years ago, another giant leap for 3000BC was taken. We officially launched the Direct Selling division of our company, where we now get the opportunity to connect with other women, educate them on skincare and empower them to manage their own business, all with the baseline of our company…the products.
This is certainly that part of my dreams I wouldn’t have ever seen coming when I started the company- getting to use our fantastic product( yes, Im gloating-20 years and you would too!:)) to empower other women to not only have a career where they can set their own hours, income, and time off, but they also spread the word about 3000BC, and the products they’ve fallen in love with as well!
With this division now a part of the company, I feel like this piece of me is starting all over, learning so much, and facing challenges on a daily basis- ah, just like old times! It would all be impossible without the expertise, great attitudes, and creativity of my brilliant partner, Rod Heckman, and our home office team, Amie Sicoli and Jen Soglia. And we three wouldn’t be able to focus on what we need to do so well if it weren’t for the incredible management team (Kyra Knox & Amanda Lyons) at 3000BC WellMed Spa, our flagship location, in Chestnut Hill, PA.
I owe a debt of gratitude to all of the company’s employees for facilitating the success of 3000BC. I know we will have so many more challenges and rewards in the next 20 years!
Thank you friends, coworkers, family for all of your hard work and support. I can’t wait to write this ‘checking in’ blog in another 5-10 years, when I know we will be accomplishing things beyond our wildest dreams!
